Here it is.  The great lost Link Wray album!  Thanks to Rollercoaster Records, these long lost recordings have finally seen the light of day after almost 50 years!

When Cadence Records released his million selling "Rumble" in 1958, Link and the boys cut a 45 and an LP's worth of tracks for a follow up release.  Archie Bleyer refused to release these recordings, due to his opinion that Link and the fellas were a "bad influence" on American teenagers.  Link was released from his contract shortly thereafter.

For the next couple decades, these tapes sat in Archie Bleyer's private library at his home.

In the mid 1980's, these tapes were rescued by a music fan who acquired them straight from Archie's wife Janet.

They were later purchased by the good folks at Rollercoaster Records in the late 1990's.  And now - almost half a century after Link laid down these tracks -  you have a chance to listen to them too!

This Rollercoaster release an absolutely outstanding effort all the way around- from the historical recordings on the disc (so clean they sound like they were recorded yesterday) , the info-packed 20 page booklet (with several unreleased photos and illustrations), and first rate packaging.  Alot of work has gone into this CD and it gives Link the respect he deserves.

The CD features TWENTY FIVE tracks.  Link cut many of these tunes and released them later in his career, but here is the ORIGINAL VERSIONS of these recordings, complete with studio chatter, false starts, different endings and more!  It puts you "right there" in the studio with Link, Doug and Shorty.

The CD kicks off with Vernon Wray at the mixing board saying "ODDBALL, TAKE TWO."  Then the guys go into Rumble, or "Oddball" as it was first known.  Way cool - you're there as rock history was being made....when Rumble was laid down on tape for the very first time.

If you're a Link Wray fan, your money will be well spent when you pick up this CD.  If you'd like to order one, you can do so RIGHT NOW from us here at WraysShack3Tracks!
