This may be the rarest of all Link
LPs. This was put out by RECORD FACTORY records, a label of Vernon
Wray's. The interesting thing is that there is no listing of the
traditional things you'd find on a record. No liner notes, artist credits,
not even an address for the Record Factory. What you do get is an address
to the LINK WRAY INTERNATIONAL FAN CLUB, and a publishing credit to all the
songs.
The cover of this LP consists of
two statues on each side, with the LP info printed in block lettering on the
cover. The back cover has two pictures of Link - one from
"yesterday", and one from "today" (you can see these pics on
the photo pages). The first side of the LP is Link's greatest from
"yesterday", the second side is Link's greatest from
"today".
It's my guess that this LP was put
out by Link and Vernon in the late 60's, with limited distribution, perhaps at a
few DC area record shops and sold out of the trunk at gigs.
