FREDERICKSBURG ARENA
where Link first played RUMBLE!

It was during that record hop hosted by Milt Grant where Link first played RUMBLE.

Pictured below is an old ad from the record hop that night, along with two pictures of the old Fredericksburg Arena.  Notice the picture at right.  On top of the building is a sign that says "FREDERICKSBURG AUTO AUCTION here every Wed."

WHERE IS IT NOW?

I used to have a job with a record and tape distributor back in the early 1980's and I remembered where the FREDERICKSBURG AUTO AUCTION was located in Fredericksburg.

The first weekend of January 2002, I went on a hunt for the old place.  Here is the old FREDERICKSBURG ARENA as it stands today.

Here is the front lot and right side of the building.  Notice the old white portion of the building (as in the pics above) behind the new brick facade.

To the left is the new FREDERICKSBURG AUTO AUCTION SIGN.  To the right is the rear left side of the building.  Note the fake front where the new sign is.

Finally, pictured above is a close up of the old building with the new brick facade.  It's still there!!!
