A LITTLE TASTE OF THINGS TO COME...

April 19 2008 - We are in the process of editing a set of ultra rare, never before seen photos of Link and the boys from the 1962-1963 time period.  Here's a quick two...the rest are guaranteed to
BLOW YOUR MIND so check back again soon!

LINK'S GUITARS SELL FOR $20,294...EACH!

The eBay auctions of Link Wray's Gibson SG and the famous "Screamin' Red" have now closed.  They were previously listed with no sales, but apparently the interest in Link is growing.  These are the two guitars that Link played for the majority of his four and a half decade career.

Both the Gibson and Screamin' Red sold for £10,000 each, the equivalent of $20,294 US Dollars.  Include the 22.5 percent buyer's premium and the true price these guitars fetched is £12,250 or $24,861!!

It's interesting to note that these guitars sold for double the price of a Keith Richard's acoustic that was auctioned off at the same location.

You can see the Gibson auction here and Screamin' Red is here.

BRUCE STEINBERG

Bruce (right) and his co-producer Skip Drinkwater flank Link at the "Link Wray Rumble" sessions

Bruce, a good friend of Link's for over 45 years, recently passed away after a short illness.  A noted rock and roll photographer, you probably own some LP or CD's featuring Bruce's shots.

He also produced Link's last great studio work, The Link Wray Rumble.  I had the pleasure of meeting Bruce in 2007 during a trip to California.  He picked a great waterfront place to eat in San Francisco, and a four hour conversation seemed to pass in five minutes.  I'm glad to have met the man.

Before he passed on, Bruce was kind enough to allow me to display some of his remarkable photos of Link on this website.
