LINK WRAY
passed away on November 5, 2005. The Father of the Power Chord, he
lived the life he loved, recording and playing his music for his fans the
world over during the past SEVEN DECADES. Punk, grunge, heavy metal,
garage, surf and more...it all started with Link Wray.

DOUG WRAY retired
from the Wraymen and opened a popular barber shop in Accokeek MD and later
relocated it to Waldorf,
Maryland. He continued performing in local Waldorf Maryland clubs
until he passed away in 1984.

VERNON WRAY (Lucky
Wray, Ray Vernon) moved to Arizona in the early 70's and continued a
career in record production and acting. Vernon passed
away in 1979.

SHORTY HORTON
retired from the Wraymen and played with local Southern Maryland artists,
such as Vince Maloy. Shorty, also became a barber, cutting hair in
Virginia. Shorty passed away in the 1970's. |

ROBERT GORDON continues
to release recordings and play club gigs and rockabilly weekenders all
over the world. |

ED CYNAR
and JOHN VAN HORN remained
in the Washington DC area after Link left for Denmark. They have
recorded as the Pack, and most recently they performed in the late 1990's as The Wraymen
and the Fender Benders.
On November 29, 2002 John Van Horn passed
away after a fight with liver cancer.

ELWOOD
BROWN remained
in the music business, working closely with Danny Gatton and Roy
Buchanan. Ellwood produced Roy's last recordings. He still
lives in Accokeek. |

Link and Dixie - early 50's
|
DIXIE
NEALE left Lucky Wray and the Palomino Ranch Hands and remained in the
Norfolk Virginia area. He passed away in 1999. |

WRAY'S SHACK 3
TRACKS still
stands! The Wray Family House was sold years ago, but it's still
there, off of Livingston Road in Accokeek. |

DOUG WRAY'S BARBER SHOP was
first located in Accokeek and later in Waldorf. Both building still
stand. In Accokeek, it's PR's Barber Shop and in Waldorf, it's
Paul's.

THE BUILDING WHERE RUMBLE
WAS FIRST HEARD is still standing in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
It is now a used car auction house.

THE CLUBS
where
Link called home have changed radically over the years. The
1023 was razed in 1999.
STRICK'S
in Marlow Heights is now a carry-out liquor store. BRANDYWINE
FIREHOUSE still stands.
SURRATTSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL in
Clinton has undergone extensive renovations, everything except the old gym
stage where the Wraymen performed! THE STARDUST
was razed in 1998, but the motel next door is still in operation.
